Cell Phones are everywhere. Only some of the severely elderly & little children do not have cell phones. It is such a debate between young children and their parents about getting cell phones. All kids want to be cool & have one & the parents don’t want them to get one & then lose it or run up the bill. And some seniors just don’t want to be bothered with the new technology. So some companies have come up with some brilliant designs for the elderly & children to meet their needs & the parent’s needs. For the elderly there are free cell phones that are easy to use, understand, and care for. They make them with super big buttons so they can see them easier and with pre stored phone numbers so they don’t have to worry about programming. The cell phone company will store the phone numbers in the phone for you & the phones don’t have a ton of different options to worry about. Now for the kids there are pre paid phones, and also phones that will only store or dial up to 3 phone numbers. This way they cannot make international phone calls and put their parents in debt. However I don’t think anyone has come up with a phone that is not misplaced. Except for the phones with GPS…then maybe the kids cannot lose them. But then again I have seen kids that don’t charge the battery, their parents try calling, and no one answers. So then the parents freak out because they cannot get a hold of their children and assume the worst. However for the regular adult there are tons of free cell phones and costly cell phones as well. Cell phone carriers make phones for everyone’s taste. There are really expensive ones with navigation, email capabilities, and that are even voice activated. On the other hand there are cell phones that will still to the basic required functions. There are free cell phones as large as calculators and smaller than your hand. The only kind I would personally recommend staying away from is the ones with GPS so that all your friends & family know exactly where you are at. Aren’t there some times when you just don’t want anyone bothering you? But at least like everything else in this high tech world there is an option for everyone. Of course the hot topic is talking on your free cell phone in public, or better yet driving while talking. Depending where you are it should be ok to chit chat on your free cell phone but I will admit when you are standing in line ordering food please be respectful & get off the phone. And driving while talking, just be careful, I don’t want you getting in an accident with me because you were not paying attention. Otherwise use that free cell phone with pride!
